Pets love is a silent language of loyalty, love, and companionship. Their love is unique as they are, every interaction has a sense of joy and their wagging tail is a sign of unwavering love showered by them.
Whether it’s a dog’s loyalty or a cat’s silent companionship, pets have a way of being there with us in every phase of life. The unbreakable bond is a beautiful reminder of true love and loyalty.
A heartwhelming example of this bond recently going viral, A Malaysian athlete Apak, completed a 10 km race with the cat perched on his shoulder. Captured in a Tiktok video on October 28, the 42-year-old Apak documented his memory at “The Magnificient Baling 100”, where he ran with his 7-year-old Jibek.
Jibek is a Maine coon mix and weighed 7.5 kg during the race.
On their run, he brings everything he thinks Jibek would need like water, food, a fan, an umbrella, and a raincoat. During the race, Jibek was seen comfortably sitting with sunglasses and a hat. He runs through various terrains, completes the race, and gets recognized at the finish line.
This wasn’t the first adventure for Apak and Jibek. According to Apak, introduced 6-month Jibek to outdoor activities in 2017 and won 45 medals since then. They started with hiking hills and mountains and even tried paragliding. Apak first tried carrying Jibek in a bag but it kept climbing out, but later he learned to balance it on his shoulders.
Despite being joked, they don’t stop in between but they finish the race and get a lot of appreciation and love from millions of people. As Apak sees it, not every race you run is to win.
This duo has successfully conquered 50 mountains and hills around Malaysia, setting the inspiration for all pet lovers. This is the perfect example of the unwavering love and companionship that a pet provides.
As this pair is hoping to break their 10 km record in the next marathon, let’s continue to spread the love for these silent creatures who fill our lives with so much joy and companionship.
